Challenge #125 - Anything Goes

We hope that wherever you are, that Spring is finally peeking through to say hello; and that things are beginning to "thaw out" in the more Northern areas.  For those who are lucky enough to live in warmer climates, it will soon be getting VERY hot.  There's never really any point in grumbling about the weather.  After all, our lives are SO incredibly blessed and we really just need to remember to give God praise in any and every circumstance.  He's SO good to us!  We praise and thank Him for each of you who stops by to share the beautiful art you create.  We love seeing your creativity, and having you play along in our challenges.  So, please always know that we are truly grateful for each and every entry.  If you're new to our challenge blog, please be sure to stop by our Challenge Rules page to become familiar with what types of "Anything Goes" projects meet our guidelines.  We want to assure that the art you share will qualify you for the fabulous prizes being offered by all our WONDERFUL SPONSORS each week!

We have a beautiful piece of word art this week, and we hope that it will be a blessing to you.  This scripture is from the Book of Isaiah Chapter 26 and verse 3.  It assures us that God will keep us in "perfect peace", which the Bible describes as an absolutely perfect peace and a state of true, genuine well-being.  That, in and of itself, is an incredible blessing.  What a joy to fully realize that God genuinely loves us enough to keep us in a wonderful state of well-being that will bring complete peace to our lives.  When we fix our minds on the things of God, and refuse to let ourselves be consumed with the worries of this world, He gives our deep inner person a genuine peace and joy that the unsaved world simply cannot understand or comprehend.  There's absolutely NO need for any worries when your thoughts are stayed on Him.  That's enough to bring a lasting smile to anyone's face.  God is just OH, SO GOOD!

As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to 5 projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to these guidelines.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

Challenge #124 - Anything Goes

Welcome, friends!  We had another AMAZING challenge last week, and we PRAISE GOD for all the ways He continues to bless us.  It was wonderful receiving your comments and finding out where you live, and a little bit about your lives.  We are so grateful for each of you, and we truly appreciate the art you share.  It will be fun seeing what you come up with this week, and we wish you all luck in the random draw.  You're ALL winners in our book, and we thank you for being a part of this challenge blog because we couldn't do it with you and the beautiful art you share.

This week, our word art is found in Psalm Chapter 17 and verse 15.  It tells us that when we "awake"; which is referring to the time when we see Him face to face in Heaven, we will eternally behold His face and we will be in his likeness.  Sometimes in life, it upsets us when we see prosperity in those who aren't living for the Lord.  We need to remember that their seemingly "wonderful lives" (their treasures) are only going to be enjoyed in this temporary life.  Yes, we will all struggle.  But our reward is eternal.  When we keep our focus on His face and His goodness towards us, and we continue to live for Him, He is storing up true treasures for us in Heaven.  We need to behold thy face (keep our eyes steadily fixed on Him every day), and we need to be satisfied in whatever situation He has us.  This life we live is temporary.  His kingdom is eternal.  Just praise Him in your circumstance, and hold fast to the beauty of His promises.  Those who have placed their trust in what Jesus Christ did on the cross will awake one day in Heaven and be like Him, and will behold His face and praise Him eternally in a place that has no troubles, no worries, no stress, no problems.  Life's blessings, as well as life's struggles, are temporary.  We need to keep our focus on God's promises of an eternity with Him.  Those are the things that really matter.

It's Challenge #123 - Anything Goes

Welcome back, everyone!  It's time for another awesome challenge here at Word Art Wednesday, and you will be DELIGHTED by this week's amazing sponsors.  Please remember that while our challenges are always "Anything Goes", you must adhere to our Challenge Rules in order to be eligible to win our awesome prizes.  We want you all to have a shot at these great prizes, so if you aren't yet familiar with our rules, please make sure you check them out.  This Bible verse pretty much sums up the kinds of projects  you should share with us - Philippians 4:8 "Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."  As an aside, these are also the attributes that should replace worry in our lives.  And since your art becomes a source of worry for us when it does not match up with this verse (and the rest of God's Word), we must remove it.  We don't judge people for creating dark art, but it's simply NOT for our challenge blog, and will be removed.  Thanks for understanding.

From this week's scripture, Ecclesiastes 3:11, we learn that God makes all things beautiful in His time.  We know that God's timing, although not always in agreement with what WE think it should be, is always perfect.  He knows what should happen, and exactly when it should happen.  While God has given us glimpses into eternity, this verse reminds us that there are many things about eternity that He has not revealed to man.  And again, in His perfect time, those who are saved and who will spend eternity in Heaven with Him, will have all things revealed to them.  We need to always trust that God keeps some things from us because He knows that we are better off not knowing everything.  I don't know about all of you, but I'm SUPER excited to some day learn all the things He has planned for us.  We can always take great comfort in these facts - He makes all things beautiful in His time, He has eternity planned out perfectly, and He will reveal to us what we need to know exactly when we need to know it.  And again, it will be beautiful!
