Challenge #165 - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Here we are with our first challenge of 2015, and we have THREE really fun sponsors this week.  We also have a super sweet and talented Guest Designer with us for the month; Teresa Kline.  You will LOVE the sweet cards she will be sharing, and we really hope that you will stop by her blog, Paperie Blooms, to say hello and leave her some love and encouragement.  And be sure to check out all the awesome new sponsors we have with us this year.  They're listed on our side-bar with links to their sweet shops.

Let's take a look at this week's scripture/word art file from Psalm 143:8.  It says, "Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust:  cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee."  I often hear people say things like, "God just doesn't speak to me", or they'll say, "I just don't hear God telling me what I should do".  In such cases, my first question would be......when is the last time that you woke up in the morning, and before ANYTHING else, you asked God to show you His lovingkindness.  Or when is the last time you said to God, "let me know how I should live my life today", or even.... "Lord, I lift up my soul to you and I ask you to guide me in all my ways".  Most of the time, we don't hear from God because we don't seek Him.  When you wake up in the morning, the very first thing on your lips should be a cry out to God for the strength you need for that day.  Tell Him you love Him, and that you trust Him with ALL the details of your life.  Ask Him to lead you each day to do exactly what HE wants you to do, and ask Him to show you His will for your life.  There isn't going to be a neon sign flashing, or a note that falls down from Heaven in front of your face telling you what to do.  We each need to SEEK GOD every day.  We have to submit our souls to His will and His ways.  God can't speak to you if you aren't 1) Praying - talking to Him EVERY DAY and asking Him for the things you need.  It's not a one-way conversation.  He WILL speak to you, but you need to speak to Him every day as well.  And 2) Read His Word.  We don't always find time every single day to read our Bibles.  But let me say this.....ALL the answers you're looking for are right there in God's Word.  But you can't hear God speak to you if you never open His Word and read it.  Find a good devotional, and get deep into God's Word.  It's just FILLED with rich, wonderful, helpful advice about EVERY SINGLE SUBJECT in the world.  We can't expect to hear from God unless we're willing to talk to Him, and read the words He has left as a guide for our lives.  This week's verse is really helpful if we simply DO what it says.  What a blessing to know that all the answers are just waiting for us to inquire about them.

As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to these guidelines.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

Here's this week's beautiful scripture/word art file.
We hope that it will be a blessing to you!
